A Workshop for Divorcing Parents

Great Plains Counseling Center is pleased to offer a workshop for parents who are divorcing and who want to help their children attain the best adjustment possible and skills to help them cope with a difficult time.

This workshop curriculum meets the Level 1 parenting workshop guidelines through the Nebraska State Court Administrator’s Office and the Nebraska Parenting Act.

Our goal for you is to help minimize the disruptive effects of divorce by:

  • understanding developmental concerns,
  • addressing factors that affect a child’s adjustment,
  • minimizing conflict,
  • assisting in transitions,
  • addressing safety issues,
  • identifying elements of and effective parenting plan,
  • and introducing you to resources that will provide you with on-going support.

Great Plains has been providing this program to families for over 10 years, and have learned a great deal from the experiences of others going through this difficult process.

This workshop is held once per month (view schedule) and the cost is $50.00.  Advanced reservations and payment are necessary to insure a space will be available for you, so please register online or call our office today.

We want you to feel that this was the best 3 hours you have ever spent in building your tools to help your children, and have received feedback from participants that this was so.

If you would like more information, please contact Great Plains Counseling Center.

NOTE: Parents must attend separate classes and registrations are non-refundable. Please include other parent's full name when registering. We will contact you if there is a scheduling conflict.  **We also reserve the right to change your class date should the class date you sign up for not meet our minimum class registration requirements. We will contact you if that occurs.
