Wellness Program for Adolescent Students

This wellness program for adolescent students was the result of many years of observation and concern about the increasing percentage of students in the intermediate grades that were significantly overweight or obese. According to National Health Education Standards, the acquisition of basic health concepts and knowledge promotes health enhancing behaviors among youth. This program provides that.

Our program is based on guidelines and recommendations from:

  • The United States Department of Agriculture
  • U. S. Department of Health and Human Services
  • Dairy Council
  • National Health Education Standards

Classes will be offered at Great Plains Counseling Center at 205 Galvin Road, North
